How to care for your Christmas tree to make it last throughout the holidays

1. Before putting it in the tree stand, stand your tree upright and tamp the trunk end on the ground 2 or 3 times to shake loose any dried needles.

2. Cut 1/2" off the trunk end. This allows the tree to drink better.

3. Fill the stand with water, put the tree in and secure it.

4. Check water levels every day to make sure the tree has plenty to drink.

5. Don't put the tree near a heater vent or fireplace to avoid it drying out prematurely.

6. If the tree appears to be getting dry, repeat step 2.

Enjoy! Happy Holidays from Tom and Terri
